So this might happen….

skd273191sdcWe’ve thrown the idea around for a while. We are in the process of seeing how much we would be able to get a loan for a new house for (not finished with the application yet).

Still, even if and when we do decide to sell, there are SEVERAL things that need to be fixed before (or during) that time. I’m a list maker by nature – it annoys my family sometimes but they deal with it. So, here goes!!

Kitchen/Dining Room
• Replace the window that bad (it gets foggy sometimes)
• Fill the nail holes in the chair railing and repaint
• Pull up linoleum and put down some pretty tile (this may not happen before we sell but it would be nice)

Living Room
• Replace the blinds the devil cat destroyed a little (a few end pieces were chewed off)
• Put down some hardwood (again, this might not happen before we sell the house)

Hall Way
• Extend possible living room hardwoods down entire hallway

Front Bathroom
• Put down tile (this is a MUST before selling the house as the linoleum in there shrank up and water got underneath it and it’s now crazy colors instead of pale white)
• Tile the top part around the shower/tub combo with some pretty small tiles (maybe white penny tiles)
• Get a new countertop for the sink (a MUST before selling as well – our son when he was little thought it would be fun to carve his name in it, I have no idea how he did that)
• Fill scratches in drywall and paint
• Get a new light fixture, new sink hardware and new towel fixtures as well
• Paint the builder cabinet white

Laundry Room
• Put down tile (not necessary but I would like it)
• Have more storage space

Keira’s Room
• Put down hardwoods to match the hall and living room

Seth’s Room
• Hardwoods in here as well

Our Bedroom/Bathroom
• Lay hardwood flooring
• Get a new light fixture in bathroom along with new sink hardware and new towel fixtures
• Tile the bathroom floor and around top of shower/tub
• Get a new countertop for the sink
• Paint the cabinet white
• Replace door frame leading outside and frost the glass in that door

Outside
• Remove the four bushes in front of the kitchen window & replace with large containers with annuals
• Remove the two bushes in the curved section across the walkway in the yard and just let grass grow there
• Transplant the evergreens from the front porch to the back yard
• Redo the front flower bed (new gravel, mulch, flowers, etc.)
• Make some kind of bed around the mail box and thin out the irises that have taken over

I think that’s about it! I doubt that 50% of this list will be done before we sell (if we sell) – whatever you want to call it. These are all the things I want to do with our house anyway, so here’s hoping I can get at least some of it accomplished!

What should we tackle first??
